Ten Mile Creek Greenway in Knoxville TN

Ten Mile Creek Greenway is a great place for those that like to get in touch with nature! Since the hours are from dawn to dusk, this allows for early risers and night owls to participate in any activities they want. Some of the activities are walking, running, bicycling, skating, or rollerblading. Some people in Knoxville walk their leashed dogs, push their baby’s strollers, and wheelchairs along this greenway. Some parks can lack the space for parking; however, the Ten Mile Creek Greenway has two parking lots. You can park in the Carmike Wynnsong Theater or Walker Springs Park.

I mentioned several of the activities some of the people do, but the options are endless. The Ten Mile Creek Greenway has been locals’ favorite spot to take family pictures, senior pictures, or engagement pictures. This spot is simply beautiful and has natural light but also shaded areas depending what you need for your day trip.

The Ten Mile Creek Greenway connects to the Walker Springs Park as well. This park is better suited for more relaxing activities. It is also targetted towards families since there are playgrounds and shaded areas for picnics. Many students come out and do their homework while enjoying the sunshine. Some come to relax and read a book. However, you are still more than welcome to do outdoor physical activities as well. Certain classes such as morning yoga are held in the park. The possibilities are endless at these two parks. Since the location is perfect and nearby other places, people often go shopping, or out to eat. A day at the park will keep you mentally and physically happy!
